M141P | Spring Seesaw

This item of playground equipment is a cut-above the traditional seesaw. The double spring construction not only allows for a more comfortable ride but also for a higher level of safety. If a child should jump off in the middle of a ride, the special strong spring stops the child on the other end from hitting the ground with a bump. In addition the stabilizer in the middle stops the seesaw from rocking from side to side, as can happen on many older types of seesaw.

There is ample space for two friends to have a seesaw ride but as its name reveals, the Quartet Seesaw also has room for one or more of the friendly crowd to take a seesaw ride on the broad wings, sitting, kneeling or - if they are really feeling brave - standing. This equipment - like all the other spring-based items from KOMPAN - is featured with a special spring construction ensuring that even if a child suddenly stops and jumps off along the way, the other child will not be let down with a bump.

Octopus is one of the mysterious inhabitants of the seven seas. Alone, in pairs or with co-riders standing on octopus' head, the ride on this seesaw is a great challenge for balance and coordination. At each end there is seating for two players opposite to each other. With eye-to- eye contact, they can coordinate their efforts and experiment with balance and speed. The centre position is meant for standing or crouching and offers a number of handholds, to secure the action, thus offering a safe position, but still great challenge for the more capable players.

The Horse Seesaw offers a great ride in a safe position for two people. Acording to their mood or favourite colour , the rider can choose the red or the blue horse. With eye contact over the top of the horses heads the riding partners can coordinate their shared ride.

The seesaw is a classic piece of play equipment for training cause and effect as the child sees its movements replicated. The rocking movements affected by the cooperation between players are great for developing the skills of negotiation.
