Robinia Play, Act and Learn

Children learn through play.

Playing on their own and with friends is a key part of a child’s development. At KOMPAN, helping kids to gain educational benefits from the playground is something we’re passionate about. The Robinia Play, Act, & Learn series is our new approach to sensory, ground-based play for children. We aim to add new play and learning dimensions to nature playgrounds.

Our Robinia play equipment acts as the ultimate play starter for young children. The exciting equipment encourages learning through playing. This is by creating a sensory and imaginative world of play. With activities that help with children’s cognitive, creative, and social skills.

Our range allows many kids to safely enjoy the play area and equipment at once. This includes the inspiring Robinia musical panels, such as the xylophone and percussion panels. The drums and music panels allow children to develop creative skills while interacting with other kids. Young children love to explore the sounds and rhythms they can invent with our play equipment.

As well as music, young children love our chalkboards. This allows them to draw and express their imaginations. The freedom to draw also helps to improve children’s fine motor skills. The chalkboard will allow young children to improve their writing, from learning letters to words and sentences.

One of the most effective ways kids learn through play is by performing. This can be with music or acting. Our Robinia play, act, & learn range includes a large stage all young children will love to explore. The stage encourages role-play and truly helps children release their imagination.

Robinia Learn and Play

Robinia is a strong, sturdy, and organic wooden material. Robinia wood has naturally occurring preservatives. This makes it resistant to rot, humidity, and harsh weather conditions. This is why it’s a practical material for a school or park playground. Our designers at KOMPAN have created incredible equipment designs with Robinia wood. To provide incredible educational benefits.

The KOMPAN Robinia Learn and Play range aims to help children develop skills. This school playground equipment will do this by allowing children to express their imaginations. Letting children express themselves in this way allows kids to have agency over their learning and playtime. Helping kids to develop their social skills, increase their confidence, and improve critical thinking. All skills they can adapt to benefit their mainstream education in years to come.

A lot of our equipment in this range aims to create a social space for kids to interact and play. This is why the range is perfect for use as an outdoor classroom as well as a play area. The act, learn, and play range includes the unforgettable Theatre & Music Cottage. This cottage includes both percussion and xylophone music panels. As well as a hut with vibrant colours that will engage children to play and learn together.

The fairy-tale throne with 10 pole seats is another example of equipment that builds a community for young children. This allows them to create games and play with each other in a fun and safe environment. It will also be a great place for kids to use as an outdoor classroom, as well as climb on and explore.

How Do Children Learn Through Play?

In their early childhood, kids learn in a very different way to adults. So much of kids’ early lives revolves around play. Young children learn through play by comparing familiarities and interactions. As well as how they feel about these experiences. This highlights the importance of play in early years.

A lot of early childhood learning through playing involves kids expressing their imaginations. And sharing ideas with other children. Playtime helps children to develop their cognitive and creative skills. As well as their social skills by interacting with their peers.

Forms of learning for kids come in different shapes and sizes. Learning through playing can be done using the Robinia chalkboard or music panels. Or physical play activities such as running, climbing, and dancing. Play will have long-term cognitive benefits for young children and help kids to keep fit and active.

There are different types of play. Of course, playtime comes in different forms. While most types of play will have some benefits, meaningful playtime is what is crucial for child development. But what is meaningful play? How does our range of school playground equipment create meaningful play opportunities?

What is Meaningful Play?

How young children benefit from play is by allowing them opportunities to be active contributors. When kids have agency over their actions this allows them to explore their creativity. As well as help them develop their logical and critical thinking skills.

Whereas in a lesson setting, young children will take on passive roles. This form of learning, with adults teaching and children listening, will have benefits. But active learning can help kids develop skills not possible that are not possible to learn in the classroom.

At KOMPAN, we aim to create meaningful play opportunities for children. Transform your play area today with the Robinia Act, Play, and Learn range. Allow kids fresh and engaging chances for learning through playing.
