Ryton Pools Country Park Warwickshire

Warwickshire County Council wanted a design that would maximise the site’s natural typography and encourage creative play.

Project Brief

The Council asked that the play equipment have multiple uses to create a wide range of creative and social play opportunities, including self-directed play for the younger age ranges. The children consulted particularly liked the idea of themed and pretend play for pirate adventure and asked for products to encourage this. This was our winning design.

The design included the Pirate Ship climbing frame, themed interactive play panels, seesaw, rocking and climbing items to spark imagination and creativity. KOMPAN also selected features including palm trees, treasure chests, barrels, rocks and sand play pits to underscore the theme and encourage swashbuckling pretend play.
